Sealing all gaps will minimize pest infiltration across the board.

I'm no PCO but our last step was using DE under all walls and into all gaps then sealing them.

IMO any and all holes in your wall in an apartment need dusting and sealing.

KQ here said once he is a big fan of insecticide dusts and following that and his "urban search and destroy" method, we no longer have bugs.

DEFINITELY dust in cracks and crevices. We ultimately had to fumigate our building, and I and two of my neighbors still had bugs due to reinfestation and/or not enough gas being used.

I dusted in between baseboards and carpet and any other cracks and crevices plugging any obvious holes as I went along. I also isolated my bed with double-sided carpet tape and will leave it like that for a while. I still keep my clothing in plastic bags(I found the first bug early August '08).

I found two adult-sized dead bedbugs that had traversed over the dust I had put down, and they were stuck on the tape. I haven't been bitten for two nights. I take my small victories where I can.
