I found this critter crawling on my leg in my car and to me it looks really close to being a bed bug, but I'm not sure.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, I only have my phone camera. The length of the bug is about 1/8" and it is actually a light brown color. I will upload better pictures later, but I am just real nervous about this and felt I had to do something.

    Here is the picture http://i.imgur.com/eYGgh.jpg

    Thanks for your help!

Not a Bed Bug, not sure what it is, some sort of beetle?

Maybe some sort of true bug? Not sure, an expert will come along shortly.

Hey, thanks for the help diesel. It is definitely not a beetle, and I think it is some kind of "true bug" but I don't know what the formal definition is of that.

I have tried looking for an image of a similar bug, and I can't find anything. The closest in appearance is still a bedbug.

It almost looks like an aphid of some sort as well. Hopefully an expert will say what it is, I am not 100% sure. I hope it is not a BB, and I would not lean that way.

Take a look at this image not great, but looks very similar. It would be the adult.

I am not one of the experts and I can't give you a positive ID, but it's obviously not a bed bug. How can you look at that image and an image of a bed bug and think that they looks similar? The legs are too long, the shape is all wrong. It looks nothing like a bed bug.

Haha, you are right rs. Watching it crawl around on my leg may have have put some sinister thoughts in my head. Looking at it closely it does look nothing like a BB but my head wouldn't let go of that idea.

Anyway, I did manage to get some better pictures and am still no closer to figuring out what it actually is. Aphid seems like a good guess. Here they are, http://imgur.com/a/uk6bZ if anyone is curious.

PS Thanks for all the help diesel

By the way you are welcome. I am by no means saying I am right, but an expert will be along at some point to give a better ID. The second pics were great, much clearer. Glad we could ease your mind a bit.
