    Hello,

I have never seen any bugs or traces of bugs in my apartment, and am a super clean freak but I keep getting bitten by something and now have many bites all over my legs and body. I threw out all my bedding mattress covers pillows ect, then sprayed everything with bleach, alcohol and poison and have started staying in a hotel for the past few days but these ichy bumps are still showing up (even when I am not staying at my apartment for days!) When I finally had the courage to go back to my house I dressed in layers of spandex, tight socks etc...and even wrapped my head so that no flesh was exposed or even possible to get bitten! ( the only exposed flesh was my hands and face which didnt get any bites but my legs still are getting these bites/ ichy bumps. When comparing them to the pictures online they look like bedbug bites but feel like mosquito bites..

I keep inspecting my house, bed, couch everywhere for any type of evidence but I still cannot find anything. I called the exterminator who says there should be some sort of evidence of a bug but I still cant find anything, I am so creeped out, I scheduled the pest control to spray for bedbugs anyway and he is coming three times over the next week. I have a phobia of bugs and feel like im going crazy since I still am getting these itchy welts all over my body cannot sleep or work or function, i'm miserable until i get to the bottom of this! Am now going to the doctor to make sure I don't have some sort of bacterial skin infection that just looks like bed bug bites.

Could this still be bedbugs even if I cant find any trace of them and am still getting welts after days of not being home or being wrapped in layers of spandex and tight clothing when I am home....and what do i do!?!?!!?!!?!?!? help!

It could be bed bug skin reactions or it could be something else. You won't be able to make a definitive diagnosis of what you've got in terms of bugs (if any at all) until you can collect a specimin.

the skin reaction to bbs can show up days after they have fed.

Also, carpet beetle larvae have little tiny hairs on them that can cause a skin reaction that feels and looks just like bb skin reaction.

I see that you recently joined here. Welcome. Please take time to look at the top of the webpage for the "sticky" subjects and you'll find so much useful information there. Of course, when you have quesions, post them as you did and someone will answer.

If you can catch a specimin and photograph it, we have experts and professionals here who can look and maybe tell you what you have. Also, if you want to post photos of your skin reactions we would look at those too.

You say you were using poison? What kind..be careful because you don't want to use a poison that causes the bedbugs (if you have those) to scatter and widen the scope of the infestation. Bombs and sprays you can find in the supermarket, etc. don't work well for bbs and can exacerbate your problem if you do have bbs.

    Do you have any pets?

Watch out at hotels until you have thoroughly inspected the accomodations for bbs because hotels, motels, etc are famous places for bbs to hang out.

Pest control coming 3 times in one week? Sounds different than what i've read here. Did you arrange for the professional? or did your landlord? Do you know what method they will be using?

You can read about all of that if you look on top...or you can simply put a word in the search engine and threads and discussions will come up.

Stay calm...start reading and studying and making a game plan for preparing for your treatment.

Of course, if you have any questions, please post them and someone will respond. And, if you find a specimin and can get a photograph of it (as well as your skin reaction) we'll take a look and see if someone can come up with an answer to what you have.

    Good night
