I forgot to mention that my husband (who sleeps in the same bed)does not seem to have a single bite or mark. Is it true that they may bite one person and not another?

Possibly, but it is definitely true they also bite people who do not react (because they are not allergic).

You may be bitten as well, though perhaps you do not react to bed bug bites. It's an allergy and a huge segment of the population does not have it -- even within families, there are variations.
