    Hello,
I am (sadly) new to this issue of bed bugs. I am just getting started on cleaning what I can to get things ready for (?) pesticides or whatever I learn about to be the best answer. For now I have only a few weeks of this problem.
As I am going over how to do things, I have learned about some ways of cleaning that are helpful (and more effective) than just ordinary cleaning supplies. One item I just got and tried last night is called 'Pet Shower Deluxe' (by Rinse Ace).
It is from PetSmart, or even Target. I imagine many places may have it. The price is around $30.00. It is a shower-hose with a side button to start/stop the water (so you don't have to turn the water faucet on/off all the time. And it also has a shower divertor attachment so the shower head can stay on. In my own house it is attached to the bath water faucet (I have a shower pipe there instead of a regular faucet). And I used it to clean small wooden tables in the bathtub with straight hot water. The pressure very good, and the handle is easy to hold (though my thumb gets a little tired from pressing the side 'on' button in.
I would definitely suggest this product - it's so much easier to have a strong spray of water than to have to work so hard to get in between places with lots of soap and super hot water.
This is also especially good as I live in a small place (an apartment) with no backyard or place to take things outdoors and wash.

    Thanks so much,
and happy to meet you all (in time I hope ;))
    C
