Pest strips

I'm curious to know why Nuvan Prostrips can only be purchased by a licensed pest controller and Hot Shot No Pest Strips, can be purchased by anyone, most anywhere, when, as I understand it, they both contain the same active ingredient in the same quantity.

Ask Jeff White (JWhiteBBCTV on Bedbugger) who does the BBCTV videos. He has one on Nuvan strips here. If it does not explain the reason for this, I bet Jeff could tell you.

The bottom line really comes down to what type of testing did the manufacturer do and what did the EPA allow. You can have two products with exactly the same active ingredients and be registered for different uses.
Sincerely,
Sean.

Sean has is right. It has to do with testing and whatever tests were done on the product.
One thing you will learn the more you read pesticide labels is that a lot of times, they don't make logical sense (Nuvan vs. No-Pest for instance). A lot of the inconsistencies have to deal with when the label was written and put on the market. You can find many different products that have the same or similar actives with drastically different labels. It's an inconsistency that the EPA and manufacturers need to take a look at and are aware of.
