PCO Warranty almost up-Need Advice!(1 post)
I had what the PCO said was a mild infestation. Luckily I had a bed skirt on a platform bed with a fitted sheet under the mattress so my husband and I rolled the chunk of bugs up and rid of them. To be on the safe side, here's the chain of events and now I'm not sure what to do next:
Found bugs, killed all visible fed adults
-Immediately rid mattress, headboard, bagged belonging
-PCO arrived within 24 hours and performed 1st treatment
-After treatment, found 2 dead unfed adults, 1 live on it's back
-2nd PCO treatment 4 days later. Next day found nymphs in chair where I always sit in other room when I get up in the morning (2 dead, 1 alive), I sprayed chair with Raid Hot Shot BB & Flea spray and put the chair in original infestation room.
-PCO stopped by, sprayed chair too
-Next day, put trash bag over chair and threw away
-5 days after 2nd treatment, we ripped up bedroom carpet, PCO stopped by, sprayed exposed baseboards and we put down laminate floors, painted room, caulked baseboards, caulked platform bed crevices. Found a few dead unfed adults. Told it was normal.
-No bites in 2 weeks, (since I found them in the chair) feeling good, we go to put platform bed down (was upright) and I spot a live nymph.
-Solution-we painted platform bed, filled every possible crevice including screws.
I am hoping the live nymph appeared because we ripped the carpet up and the baseboards were exposed for 1 full day until the PCO came to spray. BUT, what if I'm wrong? I still have not had bites in two weeks I don't know what to do. I have one week left of my 30 day PCO guarantee. The one live nymph after so much work has set me back. I sprayed Hot Shot BB & Flea Raid in areas of the room as a precaution and if that was really just a straggler that lived in the baseboard, dodging the treatments (it was lodged in the area of the platform that was face down in the floor.) then understandable. When do I go back to normal? Sleeping in the bed, putting sheets and bedding on it, putting my clothes away... Or should PCO come again? I'm not sure what to do next.
