    Hi,
I live in a 2 Bed apt in Sunnyvale. My parents found bugs in their bedroom. My mom squashed one
and a PCO recommended by our apartment management identified them as bed-bugs. The complicating factor is that my wife is in the first trimester of her pregnancy and most websites advise avoiding exposure to pesticides during pregnancy. I immediately quarantined that room, threw out the mattress, furniture etcetera from that room. I also thoroughly vacuumed that room and disposed
off the bag in a sealed cover. I am hoping that the bugs will not spread to the hall and our bedroom if we don't go into the infested room. However after researching the web, I feel that this is wishful thinking and it is only a matter of time that the bugs spread. I would like your informed
    comments on this issue.
Please also give recommendations for PCO's in Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Mountain View area of California. It would be great if the PCO does not use or minimizes use of chemicals due to
    my wifes pregnancy.
    Thanks in advance.

I live in the other end of the state, so I don't have anyone local to suggest, but you might google Thermapure to see if there is a thermal provider in your area. Thermal treatment is expensive up front (although when people add up thrown out belongings and laundry and dry cleaning, the cost may be close to equivalent), but does not have to involve the use of any pesticides.

Also, I would very much appreciate it if you did find a good PCO in that area, if after treatment and being clear of bugs, bites, or bug signs for two months, if you'd drop back by and give us a review of the PCO so that if other people from your neck of the woods are looking for someone, they'll have that review to refer to.

Hope that helps. Hang in there.

    Hi buggyinsocal,
Appreciate your reply. After some research on the web, I came across Alliance Environmental
Group who use ThermaPure for pest control. They seem to have offices in Santa Clara in the Bay area
as well as Los Angeles. Do you know anything about them? I plan to do some more research on
ThermaPure and call in these guys. I shall provide an update of my progress.
