    Need some help

I discovered I had bed bugs about 5 weeks. I called Orkin and had them come over immediately. The initial inspection took about 5 minutes. The PCO saw the bed bug on the wall and said you have them.

A PCO came over the next day and sprayed my bedroom. Was there a total of about 20 minutes. Not knowing that I should nt clean the floors I did. I believe I must have washed away the insectiside as the little critters did not DIE.

I called Orkin again. This time we took off the baseboard of the bed and found more. He again sprayed and sprayed my living room as well. However I moved my sleeping to the couch in the main room of my condo. Now they are following me. Still the critters would not die.

I called Orkin again. The PCO sprayed my entire bedroom. Now, they are in my bedroom and Living room. P.s I did not clean the floors either. I have moved myself back into the bedroom as well.

Is my PCO doing things correctly? Can I have Orkin heat my place up and kill all these critters? Or should I just throw everything away? And what if they are coming from another unit?

    Suggestions?

    Peter

If it's bed bugs, in advanced infestations like yours, it will likely take a "multi-pronged" (Integrated Pest Management) approach (vacuum, heat/steam of objects and surfaces, chemicals, dusts, encasing of box spring and possibly other furniture), or the one-shots, like whole house thermal or Vikane.

My concern with you continue to work with this PCO (not to reflect on the company as a whole), is that his first approach was a simple spray, only when that failed, did he inspect the bed. His second approach, more spray. That failing, even more spray.

Heating the house, or fumigating the house with Vikane gas are relatively quick, very effective ways of ending a bed bug problem. It has to be done right, though. With the explosion in BB comes a raft of recent entrants to this market, which means not all the players are experienced, competent and ethical.

Before you proceed with this company, or anyone else. Please review our FAQ to get a basic understanding of BB and how to fight them. Then review a comprehensive guide, like this one, to get a more through understanding of how it's done right.

    Dear pancaellis,

How much have you paid for this service thus far, where are you located and what warranty did they provide you?
