    I've done some exploring this am and I found part of a very dead bug in my daughters room behind her crib. It was very old and dry and definitely missing a head. I did bag it for my PCO but I don't think there is enough to go on. It did get wet when I took it to the bathroom to take photos further damaging it BUT there was some rusty run off from the bug.

    I know it isn't much to go on and the specimen is bad but the color looks right.

    ETA - the part of the bug is about 4mm long.

    I know how needle in a haystack this photo and part of a bug is but I'm really hoping one of the entomologists here might have an idea.

    I know my PCO will laugh at this sample. He'll take it anyway but I'll get a call in a day or 2 that says they don't know what it is and to keep looking.
