Got Bed Bugs? Bedbugger Forums » Uncategorized
nymphs?
(2 posts)-
Last night I got down with a flashlight and latex gloves to search for bedbugs. I looked under the edge of our area rug. Mostly, I found nothing. But there was one part where the rug covers broken floorboards. We live on the ground floor in a very old house, and it's pretty nasty under and between the broken floorboards. When I shone the flashlight there, I saw 2 small white bugs. They were not the same exact size, but both very small. One larger than the other. They scurried away, so I couldn't examine them carefully.
Could those have been something other than bedbugs, or does that sound like nymphs? I didn't see eggs, adults, or skins. This is not a sleeping area, but is where I sorted laundry from our recent trip before washing it. I thought maybe they were not bedbugs bc they were different sizes, and are the nymphs all the same size at the stage when they are white?
Thank you very much for any thoughts.

Could have been roach nymphs also. To the untrained eye they look close enough on the run to be confused.
That type of area, broken floorboards and such, will be a nice harborage for other pests.
