Unfortunately, they're typical of bed bug article comment threads in general.

I watched it... everything I already knew because of this site...I wish they would have said something about how they are hard to get rid of and can have some emotional effects on people...then maybe my dad will stop yelling at me when I tell him i got bit again

    Hi jbug,

Although they may be telling us things we already know, these news spots can be a HUGE help in spreading word to the public.

In this case, it's totally amazing that Renee Corea of New York vs. Bed Bugs used the Freedom of Information Act to spread information about how quickly the bed bug population is increasing -- when the city agencies were not disseminating this information.

And of course, people are being alerted to the hearing Gale Brewer is hosting on Tuesday 2/24, which you can read more about here, including info. on providing in-person or written testimony.

I hope so many people who have had bed bugs sign up to tesitfy that they don't have time to hear everyone.

needsleepplz: there was a comment on the Staten Island piece about a person's boss who had them for over a year and had dozens of exterminators and had bruises from the bedbugs. Horrible! I bring this to your attention because you hafta filter out the bad comments and focus on the ones that make sense. Regards.

Also, how come none of these segments mentions that if you wanna testify at the meeting that you can and it is open to the public?

KQ, that can't have been you. I mean, if you're anything near as chatty in real life as you are online, how did they keep you quiet? ;-)
