I just had my first treatment by the PCO on Friday and I'm wondering what to do next. Should I start caulking any cracks in the baseboards, or is the idea to leave everything as is so that the bugs have to crawl through the pesticide? If I do caulk the cracks, won't they just end up stuck in the walls looking for other ways out?

I don't think caulking while you're actively being treated is recommended by experts.

For now, follow the PCO's instructions and ask if there's anything you can do.

Passive monitors or pitfall monitors might help you assess whether the problem continues if you're not seeing signs. Treatment is usually followed up in about 10-14 days as long as bed bugs persist.
