    Hello all,

I just found some of these unwelcome guests in my apt. I let my landlord know and he came by the next day with "Results - Indoor Insect Killer" it's a dicataneous (Spelling?) earth product and pet safe powder that is used in crevices etc. He said its what got rid of them in the other side of the building (It's a U-Shaped courtyard building) when they were hit about 3 years ago.

So far no bites, nothing since we sprayed down the apt. I was wondering if anyone here had used it or what their results were after using it? He asked for an update after a week.

The other problem I'm having is itching, and feeling like things are crawling on me even in broad daylight. Is it possible to have some kind of mental reaction to having them in your place?

Yes ever since we found out I've itchy 247 no matter where I am. It's becomes very emotionally draining.
I have no experience with the the insect killer you're referring to. From what I know though , it takes more than that to kill bb's. they are resilient.

Thanks BBE, The only commercially available insecticides I know of is Bedlam but it seems like itshard to buy.

My landlord is a good one, and he knows its to his benefit to catch this early and eliminate it. I believe him when he says this product ended an earlier infestation in another side of the building.

Yeah this itching is driving me nuts. It's definitely psychosomatic, since I'm only feeling itchy when I'm at home and not out and about.

PS: The Results isn't all I've done. the bedroom has been cleared out, everything washed and bagged and a second application of Results is being done this weekend since it will be a week since the first application. I haven't seen any more or had any more bites since that initial application but we know that doesn't mean they are gone for good.

Results is a variety of Diatomaceous Earth, plus insecticide. We have a FAQ on DE.

Also some of the pesticides cause that crawly itchy creepy feeling. It should go away after a while. i only get that feeling very rarely and i find a nice hot shower with loofaha works well to relief that feeling.

Also, there is a psychological component to the itchy creepy crawly feelings and those too should fade...It's a combination, me thinks.

    welcome and sorry you're here.

Yep, all precautions and potential hazards apply. In fact since it is laced with pesticides it needs more caution than plain DE.

I've used this product before on both infestations about three years apart. The second just recently I used the same product it says allow 7 weeks for you to be completly rid of bedbugs. At first I was battling this infestation with a pco but they weren't much help. I had some insect killer from my first infestation and decided to give it a try once again. I'm on my 5 th week and I've checked the beds and other places I used to find them and nothing i still continue to lay the powder down maybe even more than 7 weeks. But what I do know is that on both infestations i have used this product and it has worked, I'm not sure but the level of infestation maybe a factor as well as i tackled mine early on.
