(21 posts)-
A trap has been created by a Canadian manufacturer to monitor and trap bedbugs. Testing will be completed by Berkeley University by March 2012. Comments from the researcher indicate the product is the perfect bedbug trap.
Production will start in 3 weeks. -
Hi,
This post aside:
http://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/warning-bed-bug-professionals-please-read-this
I think you will have to be a little more open than just an announcement of its arrival.
How does it work?
Is it an active of a passive trap?
Why is it so perfect and which psychic academic gave you the perfect before the tests were completed and published?
Welcome to the forum, please do try to use them responsibly.

Bed Bugs Limited -
Thank you for your advice and link.
Once I receive the document from the researcher I will forward it to you if you like.
It is a passive trap, the design of the trap makes it unique. -
Do you have a link to it?
I am obviously interested in the design of new products.

I can send you photos of the product.
-
You have a PM with those details.

Excuse my ignorance, what is a PM?
-
PM = private message if you look to the right of the screen near your login details it will say 1 new message, click on it and then the title and you will see the message, in this case my email address.
There is a no email address or contact details policy on the forum posts.

Play it again Sam. I know we have heard this all before and some have worked to varying degrees. Hopefully this will be an innovative advancement without production issues.

Just when I had psyched myself up enough to hear my hotel clients say "you want how much for a system that requires 2 - 4 units per room to be effective".

Delayed is such harsh word, much like reality. We'll have to see the lab work looks good but then again the lab is not the real world. At the cost it is certainly not for everyone nor are their recommendations. It is or may be one more tool when it gets here, if it gets here as a supported product. Those bed bugs certainly have a way of sabotage about them.

All I can say is hmmmmm ?

I think we'd all like to see that testing data.
We're a pretty educated group here, bedbugtrapper, so you have to do more than just tell us you have an awesome trap in the pipeline.

"bedbugtrapper.com" points to a site offering a trap that appears to be a mashup of the CO2-based "Beacon", the double-wall-fortress "Climb-up" combined with diatomaceous earth.
Is this the trap the OP refers to?
-
When I receive the testing data I will no doubt forward to all interested parties. Like you, I see too many products on the market that are not effective.

Here is the website:

website for what?
-
This is the trap bedbugtrapper is talking about, Paul.

The web site does not instill confidence in the product to me.

The web site does not instill confidence in the product to me.I agree. More information is needed about design, and independent testing data is needed.
But one plus is that the bug on the site does appear to be a bed bug.
Surprisingly, that is so often not the case.

Perhaps I missed it but there does not seem to be an abundance of information present on the website ???
