Hello,
I don't know what to say other than I am desperate.
I can't find evidence, my husband thinks I am crazy. We are fighting so it much, he is not helping me declutter the house (most of it belongs to him). He doesn't want to let go.
I am getting bit like crazy and itching, although no swelling or red, and no bugs to show but I know it's beg bug. - We both had flown in and out of country and I did not thought of bb's and pretty much dumped, mine and his stuff all over the bedroom, guest room and even my son's room.
We still have suitcases in the guest room with a few stuff. At this point, jsut sitting there. This happened over a period of two months. So, now I am feeling the bites.
He is not either feeling the bites, or they find me more appealing - god know it such not be so, since I am not the healthy kind per se. He thinks I am crazy. He laughed and jeopardize all my attempts to bad and seal stuff in the bedroom, moved chairs (that I clearly asked to be bagged and taped) to my son's and then outside, throwing his shirt and jeans on bed and then re-using them, throwing freshly sheets dried (over 120 for 30/40min) and just dumping them on floor and so on... All the bags of clothes were found on my laundry room all emptied out and all over the floor, amongs all his cluttler and I am talking about a lot of s***. Lots of epquiments, cables, cardboxes and so on... gee this would be bb paradise.
Now I schedule a K9 to come in, but I don't know how good and accurate they are. Would they find bb among the basement clutter? I have cats (one is refusing to get into bed - although I did inspect it and encased already). Do they get distreacted by other pets in the house or their scent? Am I doing the right thing, since I did go inch by inch on matress and box spring and found nothing (I did also do tables, pictures, frames but did not get into outlet covers). My husbad is so upset w/me for spending money that he thinks is all in my mind. I keep telling him there is something wrong and the itching (nothing but a tiny hole and no blood) is not imaginary.
Am I doing the right thing? Am I over reacting? My instict is to go with my cat. Believe me, she has alerted me to danger a few times and for the past week or so not wanting to get into my room and mewoing me to follow her, to me, means something is wrong. But I may be wrong.
Sorry for the extensive writing and hoping to hear your thoughts.
Thanks -
You have had "bites" for two months? How many bites total have you had during this time?

Question - When was the last time you found a live bug? Do you have any samples you can take a picture of and post here for us to see?
-
i see them alive everyday i know that they are bed bugs the only way i have to take a photo of them is with my phone and i have no where to send it
-
You can email me the picture just to be sure. My email is in my profile. Just click old timer on the left side of the screen just under my screen name.
-
how do i send a pic off my phone to my email to email it to you i know this sounds stupid but i guess i am a noob again cause i dont know
-
Does your phone connect to the internet? If so, when viewing the picture you should see an icon of some type that will attach the picture to an email and open whatever email setup you're using. This can be difficult to understand on both sides .. so if you have internet access on the phone see if someone in your family knows how to do it.

ok i got to register my internet on my phone i am doing it now i got a good photo for you just took one of one of them bastards crawling on the wall next to me just give me a min ok
-
Thank you for your response.
To be honest, I don't know... other than very itchy on my bottom feet in the beginning (can't tell you as there were no visible marks) and then after cleaning and declutting the room less than a week ago (inspecting matress/board/bed and so on) I started to get so itchy that made me wake up.
So, I a made a point of staying up and after washing/drying all linen I decided I could go to bed safely, since it was dawn. Whom ever said BB's don't show during day hours is wrong!!... ThankI slept from 6 to 11 and woke up with intense itching all over.
Legs, back, arms, hand, and abdomen. Funny thing is that I just itch, no swelling, no red marks, no nothing. I ruled out fleas (which gives me skin red round area), mosquitoes (which gives me skin bumps). Just little, tiny puncture wounds with no blood but so itchy.
Am I being crazy here? I have a k9 coming on monday. What should I know besides the obvious and already stated about this service. I wish to God I don't have BB's asI have been reading this site for the past year and know exactly how life changes, but I don't want to ignore the signs (as much as I wanted and it seems my husband is doing!). -
It doesn't sound like you have signs. It sounds like you've been reading a bed bug site for a year. =)
I'm sure you're fine and don't have a bed bug problem. If the K9 inspections provides peace of mind... go for it. Confirm anything and believe nothing until you're looking at it.
Good Luck!

Ahhh .. I was going to help you if you were in NY.
I'm at a loss for words really. I know you need professional help but you mentioned money is an issue. You're going to have to find some help financially with this. Friends, family, ask everyone for help. It's also very important to figure out if you are being re infested from other locations like work, schools, nanny, cars, etc.
If you were in NY I would have done this for you for free... 4 years is ridiculous. Please start a new thread so people don't confuse your needs with the original post. Maybe some PCO's on this board could help you or maybe some members here can lead you in the right direction to get help.

bbindespair,
A lot of people panic when they think they have bed bugs. And many of us start trying to do something before we have even verified the problem. (I did too, when I didn't know any better.)
First, you need to confirm the problem. If something besides bed bugs is causing it, you need to deal with that.
Second, your course of treatment may not even require the bagging or other steps you're taking!
You need to stop trying to bag and move things around and first try and find out if you have bed bugs, another pest (like fleas) or some other cause for your skin trouble.
Suspected bites are NOT definitive evidence of bed bugs. You need visual evidence: bed bugs, fecal stains, cast skins, or eggs. It can be harder to find this in clutter and it can be hard for non-experienced people who don't know what they're looking for.
Before you hire a k9 team, read this FAQ. The essential point according to many experts is to choose a k9 handler who will visually inspect and try and confirm any dog alerts. An alert without visual confirmation does not prove you have bed bugs! A handler who will visually inspect may be able to help you confirm a bed bug problem.
You have to ask them if the cat will be a problem. All scent k9s are not the same!
A careful human inspector can also confirm bed bugs.
Passive monitors may also help. See the FAQ on these in the Useful Stuff page.
Bottom line: if you get someone to help you verify the presence of the problem, then your significant other will have to participate in helping to solve the problem. You have to know what the problem is, for sure, first. You should not be tossing things out or sealing them in bags without being told to do this by a professional. You may be wasting your time and energy and even money.
