I am going to be traveling to San Francisco soon and I was concerned about the hotel-anybody know about specific hotels and bedbug outbreaks? Also, will spraying myself with Off bugspray keep them away from me? Thanks so much!

Ive been told that Off doesnt stop them but I woke up in the night to bedbugs so I sprayed myself, had to go back to bed, and when I woke the only places they bit were my face and bottom of my feet where I didnt spray. But instead of going to bed covered in chemicals every night, just look for them. Theres usually signs of them.
Tripadvisor,com is a great website to get traveler reviews of a hotel. Lots of people post BB infestations, poor servicce, great places, etc. i traveling for 2 years and check out most of the hotels/ hostels on that site.
I've stayed in literally hundreds upon hundreds of plaes in my life and I've only been bit once so don't let it freak you out. Happy travels :).
