Need some advice for post-Vikane treatment

Hi all:
My landlord finally agreed to Vikane our apartment building. I had two good nights of sleep and then started getting bitten again. I fear I re-introduced them, even though I had the same belongings with me that I had at the hotel, and I wasn't bitten there. Maybe I brought in from my car. I checked with my neigbor and he said he had a couple of what felt like bites but thinks his is psychological. I know mine is not b/c I think I found a dead nymph on my sheet.
Maybe Vikane, even though it is reputed to be 100% effective, is an end-all be-all treatment b/c they can always come back, right? and Vikane does not leave residual. I'm thinking that maybe it was effective for at least knocking down a lot of them so that the infestation is more controllable. Any thoughts on that?
Anyway, any advice on what I should do now? I'm at the end of my rope and thinking some dark thoughts. Should I self-treat with DE? Steam clean carpets? Move? Any input is welcomed.
