Need help with identification

   So I noticed some bites on my legs. I should mention that I have a dog - and fleas were the first thing that came to mind. However, I decided to google "spider bites straight line" out of curiosity - and I now regret that. Of course all sorts of stuff on bedbugs came up. As a first measure, I checked the seams of the mattress and didnt see anything. I then washed all of my clothes, sheets, comforter, etc in hot water. After bring the laundry home I found two of the tiny bugs pictured below, dead on my comforter. I am having someone come out to take a look this week, but wanted to see if anyone could identify this bug. Am I overreacting? It almost looks like a dead tick that might have come in with my dog - but I cant be sure - and with the bites on my legs, I am super paranoid now.
