Need help identifying this bug.

I found this bug 3 times in two weeks. Every time it was in the main floor bathroom next to my front door. I thought it was a cockroach and contacted a pest control company. They said it was not a cockroach and that it was pest that lives outdoors and infests certain types of trees. Unfortunately they did not know the specific name of the bug or what type of tress it infests.

I would have said its a cockroach, its certainly not a bedbug.
I am sure one of the resident entomologists will confirm soon enough.

There are more species of roach than the typical household pest species. American, German, Oriental, and brown banded are the typical household pest species.
Everything about that looks roach to me but wait for Lou or EffiCi to check it out.
I will be stunned if it not a roach species.Jim
