Does anyone know a good lawyer who is familiar with tenant rights on the issue of who pays for treatment? The management company is insistent that it's the tenant's responsibility; but there is nothing in the lease that supports this. My understanding is that the tenant laws in NYC are quite clear that it is the landlard who pays for treatment.

    Thanks.

I have heard that if it's a rental, the landlord is responsible for paying; if it's a coop or condo, then you (the owner) is responsible.

Hi - Check out the resources at New York Vs Bedbugs. Maybe there is something here that you can use to convince your landlord without having to spend money on legal fees.
