I feel the need to share. I am pretty sure I got them from a hotel. A litte getaway for my 29th b-day. Saw them in my sleeping bottoms one morning and then crawling on my hubby one nite. He looked up a picture of bedbugs on our laptop. When he saw the picture, he instantly got off the bed. OH NO! WE HAVE BEDBUGS. Immediately started sleeping downstairs, thoroughly clean our room and treated with store bought pesticides. Still saw them. Maintenance did an inspection, did not see any. Had to practically beg to get a PCO anyway (had to pay myself $208). Just got treated on Tuesday, and I saw a bug last nite (Wednesday). Have to wait 3 weeks for next treatment. The sharp decline in the quality of my life has me staggering to get a grip. I hate bugs, the thought of them crawling on me in my sleep.....It's just to much.

search for security, I'm really sorry to hear your story. Sadly, it's more common than you think. It's very frustrating when the PCO an't find a bug, when you know you have them. Good for you for getting them to treat anyway!!

It's common to see bugs right after a treatment, so don't lose hope. Most PCO's use a residual poison, so it can take a few days for the bugs to die.

I know it is very difficult, especially in the first few weeks. There's a lot of physical labour, a learning curve as you try to educate yourself on the issues and a the terrible phsychological component that your home has been invaded. But you are so ahead of the game. You have a PCO treating your home, you found the forum early enough to get educated (I didn't find it for a couple of weeks!) and you have your husband for support. So *deep breath* hang in there because it will get better.

Thanks for responding Kate. I hope you are winning your fight. I am isolating all the beds in our townhome tomorrow.

    search,

We understand. You will get through this. Just keep with the treatments until all the bed bugs are gone.
