I started noticing mark in my arms in October 08 and thought it was a rash.
I was at my dermatologist for a follow up on a problem I was having and showed him a mark and he informed me it could be a bedbug bite. He gave me a prescription for a skin crème as he was not sure if it was a bite.

I started to read about bedbugs on the web lifted up my mattress (but not my box spring) to look for fecal staining and saw none. I started to keep and eye out for blood spots on my sheets and found none.

The bites started to intensity and I even got three bites in a row on my hand.
I told my wife I’m pretty sure we have a bed bug problem. The next day which was a
Sunday morning my wife sees a bug on our bed. I catch the bug and do a Google search for bed bug pictures. Sure enough it’s confirmed we have bed bugs. I live in a two family brick attached home. All the plumbing and wiring for my house comes directly into my house. How did we get these things? This time my wife and I inspect our mattress and lift up the box spring and sure enough I find and kill 6 small bed bugs.

Not knowing what to do I did a Google search on bedbugs and find this forum.
After reading for a day I realize I need to act quickly and hire a competent PCO.
Based on comments on this forum I contacted Killer Queen. He spent a lot of time with me on the phone. I made numerous calls to him and he always took his time with me.
He told me to bag our clothes take them to a laundry mat and dry for 20-30 mins and bring the clothes back home in a clean sealed bag. He told me to sleep in my own bed and we set up an appointment for the following Thurs.

I informed my family that we needed to clean all our clothing and vacate the house Thursday 8AM for approx 12 hours so a person I contacted on the internet can come into our home and treat our problem. This did not set well with any of us. But it had to be done. So we all washed our clothes as instructed. Called Killer Queen over and over with a multitude of questions which he always gladly answered.

Thursday morning comes and Killer Queen (John) shows up on time. He had explained the treatment to us on the phone but he took his time and again went step by step what he was going to do to eradicate these pests. He even told a joke to get some smiles out of us.

We returned home Thursday to find the house just as we had left it. KQ told us to expect bites for the next 2-4 weeks and he would see us in a month for a follow up. He told us we could take our clothes out of the bags!
After the treatment we called KQ over and over with more questions which he again answered happily.

During the next month we inspected our beds weekly and washed and dried our bedding twice a week. We were still getting bites but the frequency was diminishing.

We found one nymph during our weekly inspections.

KQ came for his one month follow up and informed us to keep doing what we been doing twice weekly laundry and the inspections and he would see us in a month.

KQ came for his last follow up this past Saturday did his last treatment (I hope) and declared us bed bug free. I’m not as sure as he is but the family was elated to hear those words. I’m counting the bite free days 26 to date to get to what I’ve ready is the magical 55 number,

KQ was the consummate professional. His through treatments and leaving no stone unturned got us a leg up quickly on these pests. My family and I are so glad we found him on this forum. He answered all our questions over and over. He said to us during one of our early conversations “when you hire me I work for you” That comment was what made us use KQ for our problem.

Anyone in New York who needs a PCO should call Killer Queen. He really helped us!

That is wonderful news! I am so glad to hear that your treatment is going so smoothly. I don't live in NY and KillerQueen was still willing to speak with me on the phone last night he really is wonderful too bad I couldn't get my LL to call him!!

Right now I wish I lived in NY so I could hire him myself I have not found anyone like him here in NH. My LL is refusing to treat until I have tried all of the do it yourself chemicles and I know that it is going to turn into a big mess!

Best of luck to you and I am sure with KillerQueen you really are BB free!

Good for you! Congratulations! Gotta love KQ!

Even though I'm in Canada and there is NO WAY I could hire KQ, he still responded to my PMs promptly, and with such tact. I'm constantly on this board and have read practically all there is to read and KQ is the best, in my opinion, this side of the pond anyway!

    HAHA

KQ-You said we are BB free. Since your the expert I'm betting your right! ;-)
    My family is sure relived.
FWIW I'm still counting the days and will not feel free for a little while yet.

Just noticed my post had a gazillion typos. See what happens when you type at work in an open environment and try to hide what you doing from others.

see the thread "four months bite free, steps taken" there is a recipe for a self-treating spray there that may be an option for you. It has been (fingers crossed) working for me so far.

AHHH surrounded, what is going on with the land lords in NH? There is another person on here going through the same crap you are from NH. I'm sure you have read and done your research.. But what is up with the tenant’s rights where you live? Do you have any?

Killer Queen saved my life. He was quick, very professional and my bugs are all gone. I can't thank/recommend him enough.

My landlord re-negged on picking up the tab and had I known then what I know now, I still would have used Killer Queen instead of my landlord's free mutt and jeff extermination team. Killer Queen was worth every penny.
