In honor of halloween the MSN home page has a slideshow of "things that really go bump in the night." BBs are on the list.

I thought you guys might like to see it. :) Maybe someday we won't feel like the outcasts.

Gee, it only rate #9 on the list. I would have put BBs before flies!!

In any case, glad to see that it says that BBs can't be irradicated simply by washing sheets, and that it often takes multiple treatments. At least they got that right!

Another media tidbit... local Fox news in DC did a story about bb in a home care facility.. mentioning (stigma alert) the 'dirty" conditions... and folks wonder why we don't want to tell them why we have disappeared from their lives... sigh..
anyway.... the story said they were turning up the heat in the house to kill the bugs, etc etc ... the poor helpless folks who live there don't have the where with all to help themselves.. the story gave the impression that social services is now involved..

turning up the heat? Hey! I didn't think of that! Instead of paying for thermal, can we just crank up our thermostats? LOL Well, I can't because I rent & heat is just one of the many, many things outside of my control.

seriously though, would that have a shot at working???

Nope. You can't get an apartment or house hot enough for a sustained period of time.
