So i am certain i have bedbugs. I have no idea how long but i knew i been living with them since i moved to my current apartment for about almost a year. Thanks to my hoarding neighbors from the second floor, they gave me and my family another problem to deal with, bed bugs. My landlord is a piece of shit and doesnt want to do anything for us. I live with my brother, sister and my dad. We come from a very low income home so we cannot afford extermination. But now things are starting to get better with our lives and my mom (who lives with my older sister in a two family home) is going to buy the house shes living in with my sister. Its a very nice house. So im grateful for that. But over the past months i been staying over my soon to be house with my sister and my mom and i think i might have brought over BBs here. But im not sure. I dont even want to check because i know if i see one ill go back to my depressed stage again. So anyways, the current owner of my moms house is really nice and she said she was going to bring every type of inspector to check out my soon to be home. Honestly, i dont want to bring anything at all from my current house to this beutiful home but my family is very strict with thier things and i tell them i dont want them in the new house so we wont risk having to have these monsters with us. Either way the lady said she will pay for any damage or infestaion before my mom closes the deal. But my mom tells me she cant afford new furniture and shes going to have to bring some of our infested things to our new house. My mom and sister lives on thr second floor and my sisters friend lives on the first and she said that she will leave all of her furmiture with us when she moves out (which is soon) becuase she understands our problem and that she doesnt want to move all of her stuff out because shes "lazy" lol. So thats a big relief there but im still trying to convince my mom to leave all of the infested stuff behind except clothing, shoes, backpacks, sheets, blankets, towels and expensive electronics such as tvs ps3s dvds etc. My brother and my dad has alot of papers and clutter that they dont want to give up and they wont listen to me. My lil sis has her makeup and those other little girly things in her little drawers she dosent want to give up. And i just have my video games, tv and other electronics that i cant give up lol.My mom basically bought all of my nice things and i understand how hard she worked for them. So my question is... Is there anyway we can get rid of these demons witout harming our belongings so my family can start fresh and leave all the negativeness behind so we can finally live happy. I heard about the heat treatment but im not 100% sure it will work. Can i please get advice from you kind people to help my family get through this. I realize there are more impor things in life thats going on now but if i see one more bed bug in my new life, i dont think ill go on anymore. I know its just a stupid bug but it gets me so frustrated seeing my family, the nicest good hearted family ull ever know suffer for this. Please help me out. I am sorry if this a confusing post, its just a long story to the point i cant really put in words but i hope you uderstand and help me out with this. Thank you so much and god bless. (oh yea, so when my sister's friend moves out from the first floor, thats when me , my lil sis,my bro and my dad are moving in which should be next month.)

I'm am really sorry you are going through this. I am having a prolonged infestation situation myself, and can understand you very much. When resources are limited, it all get even tougher, as if it wasn't bad enough anyway
I read your story and I am confused. I can only notice your anguish, but don't actually get the situation. You lived in an infested home. Now you want to move. Have you moved already? Or only planning?
Did you / do you plan to take any furniture with you?
What is the house that you are thinking of heat-treating? The old one / the new one?I think heat treatments are considered quite effective, and often will come with a guarantee for some period of time. But, it's usually the more expensive treatment.
You are welcome to clarify some of the questions.

You said you're afraid to inspect and confirm whether you has them right now. I know it's scary, but if you don't have bed bugs, you may be worried about nothing.
If you do have bed bugs, they can be gotten rid of. When you
move, it's possible in many places to get a truck or pod treated with Vikane gas. There are also trailers made by a firm called Insect Inferno which are known to work well. If a firm has one of these, they can treat the items with heat en route.But the first step is always confirmation. And you really probably need an independent identification by someone who isn't panicked about bed bugs.

Dear gidireich,
Yea i understand its confusing, sorry. So im going to review it again to answer your question. Lets say the house that i live in with my dad, lil sis and brother is called "house A". And the house that my mom and older sis lives in is "house B". House A is infested i know for sure becuase i know what they look like. So from time to time i will go to house B to just get away from them and clear my mind. But i am scared that i may have brought BBs to house B. But i dont really know for sure. My mom has planned to buy the house already and i think its pretty much confirmed that we are going to move. The landlord of house B said if theres any problems, she said she will pay for it. In house B there are two floors, my mom and sis live on the second floor (which i been visiting) and my sisters friend lives on the first floor. And when my mom buys house B, she (sisters friend) will have to move out and me, my dad, my lil sis and my bro is going to move in. My sisters friend is nice and said that she will leave all of her furniture for us because she doesnt want to pack and stuff. So she is leaving beds, sofas, dressers, tables and other furniture that i think are bedbug free, except she is bringing her values like electronics and such. So that means we will have to bring our infested values such as tvs, clothes, papers and some books, backpacks, shoes and probably one bed and maybe some drawers and other little things from house A to house B. And i dont want to live another nightmare by bringing it to our soon to be home. And i dont know how to prevent it. Should i just wait until the landlord from house B comes so i can talk to her about it and maybe bring an exterminator to talk to me about what i should do. Because what if i did bring bedbugs to my sisters and moms floor, then what. Or what if house B is bed bug free but i bring in a tv or something thats invested then they exterminate house B but it doesnt work
i am so sick and worried about this. I just want to start fresh with a new life. Thats all i ever wanted. I just need advice on what to do. I havent been sleeping good the past year and i am so paranoid. Im only 16 and i feel like im the only one doing something about it because no one in my family ia cooperating with me and all they say is "thats life" and i hate hearing that. We have suffered enough over the past 30 years and i think its time things ought to change for us this one time. I hope this clearifys any question. If it doesnt, please ask. Thank you again.
