I have heard some great advice but nothing regarding the TV situation. Would my TV be safe to move pre before treatment? I don't want to risk these things coming to another residence. Please keep in mind the size of the TV when giving recommendations. The other recommendations for electronics have been for portable devices and the such. This isn't one of them. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I was planning on drying everything before I brought it to my new residence. I don't have many clothes that I'm keeping so would drying and hauling straight to my new place be a solid plan?

I'm seriously trying to avoid paying for two rents simultaneously.

    Thanks guys and gals.

    Hi,

The risk of transference in an item like a TV depends on the extent and duration of the infestation. The heavier it is and the more widespread the greater the risk is.

The risks can only really be established if you let us know exactly what conditions in the infected location are like.

According to a cleaner, the infestation is pretty heavy. I have been fighting with them and my landlord for approximately 8 months. TV has been there since Mid-October of last year. The problem is serious enough for me to want to move since the landlord hasn't sent a PCO to take care of the problem.

    Hi,

How many bedbugs have you seen around your bed area?

Have you seen any bedbugs around the area where the TV is?

Where in the property is the TV?

Have you used any aerosol or fogger based products?

It's important to look at facts and numbers rather than emotives or second hand opinions (I have been to far too many "it's the worst case of bedbugs ever" situations only to declare that the others need to get out more).

I suspect your options may come down to Vikane fumigation and little else if it needs to be treated.

How many bedbugs have you seen around your bed area? (I sleep on my couch in the living room.)
    I've personally caught 10 to 15.

Have you seen any bedbugs around the area where the TV is?
No, I haven't. I also don't sit in front of the tv. I stay on the couch.

Where in the property is the TV?
In the living room where I sleep.

    No, I have not.

The infestation was bad enough for the housekeeping service to leave immediately. Also, my girlfriend was bitten up pretty bad as well. I catch one every two days or so. I try to stay in my living room, hoping they don't spread to other places of the house. I already made this mistake by leaving my bedroom.

    Hi bedbugbalboa,

In reality is not a massive infestation by any stretch of the imagination, that is not to play down your experience but it is essential to put it into context.

If the TV is not close (within 4 feet) of where you sleep I would say the risk of low.

As I previously said the only way to make sure its 100% zero risk would be to arrange for the TV to be vikane fumigated.

Most people will run from the sighting of a single bedbug, if that were the case with pest controllers we would be in a much worse state than we already are. We knowingly enter properties with thousands and thousands of bedbugs, the most I have ever seen was in excess of 150,000 and that's what i call a bad case.
