If some kind of response is needed, this can make things easier for identifiers who may be viewing from a cell phone, etc.

But in this case, are you looking for some kind of feedback?

I don't know if the pic worked - if not, it's okay.

No, I don't need any feedback. I think we know who this little lady is. (Does anybody else start to admire these things?)

I do wish I knew how to take better pictures.

    Thanks for all your help!

I love that picture ... can I use it for my website? That's right, I said website! I'm about 2 weeks away from going live.

As a consumer, I find it very creepy. Can't you use a plush BB toy or something? Maybe little dancing BBs (kind of like the RAID ant commercials)?

Actually, this kind of detail is really helpful.

If everyone could do this, experts could weigh in on whether a closely-related cousin (bat bugs, swallow bugs) might be the culprit, as opposed to bed bugs.

Can some of the experts do that in this case? Click on the image links above or the images above and below to get larger sizes.

Hey, Killer - and anybody else -

Anybody is welcome to use my pictures. I'm going to try to find out how to take better ones. If I succeed, I'll post them.

Doesn't look like a bat bug, not hairy setae on body. short ones. Looks like a bed bug. Is there a reason to suspect something other than the common bed bug?

Somebody wondered if it might be something else early on, and requested more pictures, but I think it's been settled now. It's nice to have confirmation from such a recommended source!

I heat-treated Tuesday and sent the recliner to the landfill. My window frames warped a little, but there was no other damage and I'm still glad I did it. Ruby the Dog came yesterday - no sign of bugs.

Once again, I am so utterly grateful to the folks on this site who have been so helpful. It saved me a huge amount of anxiety, and may have saved me from either a bigger infestation, or the snake oil salesmen. I'm trying to pay it forward now.

I think it was initially suggested because it was found on a wall and there were birds or bats nesting in the attic if I recall correctly.
