I have been nuking clothes that I think might have been contaminated or contained eggs. I figure since BB or their eggs have water content, using the microwaves to cause this water to boil will kill the b*astards. Certainly the temps will be MUCH more than 140 degrees, abit for a few seconds. But I like the visual imagery of exploding bugs too much.

*warning* don't do this with any clothing with metal parts like zippers! Also my pillow caught fire (I have a 1300 watt nuker). However I found that 100% cotton items take the heat really well.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Sounds pretty risky to me. Your clothes could catch fire in the Microwave or get scorched or turned black.

I think it is dangerous. This has come up before. I would not do it, personally, nor would I advise it.

Thanks for the replies. I think I've ruined more items that it's worth.
