mattress on floor - ideas to isolate?(4 posts)
my bed bugs are back! worse than before - prior to, i had only seen one, and never felt their bites... now i have 5 bites and ... okay, still haven't seen any. but still.
my boyfriend and I are currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor - our bedframe broke a while ago, and we couldn't afford anything sturdy, so we decided to hold off. Now, with the bed bugs around, it seems a little stupid to buy anything new until they're gone.
how would you suggest isolating this? the mattress is encased, and we've pulled it away from the wall. Is there anything more than double-sided tape, some Murphy's soap and some DE on the floor that you guys can think of? is it worth it buying a frame that may become infested just so we're elevated?
We're on a hardwood floor, if that helps anyone think of something...
Here's a similar thread that might answer your question.
you're spectacular! i can't believe my search missed this post...
I use a trick in google to search. If you know what search terms you want to use, you type them into google and at the end type site:bedbugger.com (no space between the colon and the word bedbugger) so what you type in the google box looks like this
bed isolate wooden floor site:bedbugger.com
It will only bring up matches from this site.
