We know that people react to bites differently and that some may appear sooner than others.

I had a company treat my apartment after I experienced bite-like welts, even if we did not find a live or dead bug. The night after the last and fourth treatment using Gentrol and Cy-Kick on Jan 8, I had more bites than ever before, over 10 per day for two days and then they started decreasing (now I have between 0-6 new welts every day). That last treatment happened only five days after the previous treatment.

I wonder if anyone sure of having bed bugs ever experienced something similar.

(I still have not seen a bed bug in my apt and I have decided to get a K-9 dog. I am also treating my skin for scabies and a pest control technician from another company thinks I have an allergy to carpet beetle larvae, a few of which were found in my apt. It may be a combination of things.. I thought I would also post this message and see if anyone had a similar experience..)

People have reported this increase in bites after a treatment. If you have bedbugs, it can be that the bedbugs were flushed out by the treatments, or that there were lots of eggs that hatched. Bedbugs lay so many eggs that it can seem as if the population is increasing dramatically overnight, which in fact it may be.

There is some information about Gentrol on the blog which you should read and discuss with your PCO. See also this thread: http://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/gentrol-effectiveness?replies=7

I hope the K-9 inspection yields a result for you.

Thank you 'nomo. I can't believe how sloppy these PCOs can be.. If there is just a slight doubt about Gentrol facilitating rather than hindering reproduction, it should be banned from treatment immediately!

U have no idea how sloppy they can be!! If you don't get a good feeling about the service you hired DON"T USE THEM! Will you let a plastic surgeon you don't feel comfortable with give you a nose job!? lol... didn't think so... the same goes for BedBugs cause there costly, and although you may feel like its an emergency, you as the client can do a little reading and make some calls, make a few appointments, and battle them yourself in the mean time. Its not immpossible and sooner than later or mabye not lol, you'll find somebody you find educated and respectful/responsible/reliable/and not a crook.
