Has anyone had an experience with Magic Pest Management in NYC? Someone PLEASE respond that you've had success with them. My landlady just hired them and I'm very nervous. Their website looks good but they're only planning to do 1 treatment which makes me feel REALLY bad about them. I literally want to throw up, I'm so worried. Anyone have any insight into them?

There's at least one post from someone claiming to be a happy Magic customer (click the "Magic Pest" tag I added aboveto find it).

I would find out more about their protocols. You might ask what will happen if bed bugs persist after treatment. It is possible to implement monitors to prove a problem is ongoing, so if their policy is to treat more than once for an ongoing problem, then that's not necessarily bad.

It is possible for a careful and thorough pro to do the job in one shot, but it is probably not possible for anyone to ALWAYS get it done in one shot with steam/spray/dust or anything else besides structural fumigation or heating.

I had a bed bug treatment done by Magic. First two technicians came to do the job. They did a great job and treated every inch of my apartment. The treated everything and used several different things. They told me that they use a non-repellant spray and dust which leave a residual. The do have a retreatment option at a reduced price just in case . They also have a heat chamber that I had all my books and papers treated in. I highly recommend them.
