Learning About My Bites
(3 posts)-
After reading some of the information on this site I now know I have Bed Bugs. This would be the second year and it has been during the beginning of summer only. Except this summer which has been a cool one I received several with the most recent being last night, a roll of 5 bites with one off to the side. About a week ago, both of my thumb knuckles had a bite on it with a small head on it and they swelled up for a couple days to where I could hardly bend them. I also have one on my leg and it is over a month old. It does not itch anymore but it still has a scab which won't go away. Last summer this happened I had a total of 3 bites on my legs close to my ankles and it took all summer before they finally healed up and went away. Is this normal?

If bites are so strongly seasonals, they surely aren't BBs.
If they were, after two years you should have thousands of them, and teens of bites every night. -
Okay, so what has a similar pattern of biting? In all cases I have never seen the insect that did the biting or felt it. I am glad that it is not a bb, but I sure would like to find out what it is. I did not mention that I had a bite on the top part of my hand, which happened between the time my middle knuckles of my thumb got bit (which I thought was odd, what the heck would bite both my knuckles in the same night?) and the bites on my leg (upper thigh) that were all lined up in 4 with the 5th being off to the side, like the letter L. Why I am researching is because of the bite on my hand did not itch but made my hand ache all the way up to my elbow. It (on my hand)swelled up and was about a dollar size (in coin) and felt feverish. At first I thought I broke a bone in my hand because it hurt so bad the whole day and I was going to go to the doctors the next day but then it started to feel better that night. Maybe I should be researching spider bites or other kinds of insect bites? Do you have any suggestions?
