First, I'm wondering if there is a canine beg bug sniffer in WI that anyone can point me to? (we're in south central wi)
Second, we're not completely sure we have bed bugs, might be bat bugs. is the treatment for bat bugs the same as bed bugs? and how do PCOs treat when you have a newborn living in the house? We have 4 other children, too. The thought of using pesticides in our home scares me.

    Not sure about dogs.

If you have a house, thermal treatment is an option. There is at least one PCO offering thermal in Wisconsin, based in Madison: Professional Pest Control. (If you're elsewhere, don't let that put you off since many of these companies will travel.)

Thermal can be pricey but heat is a great option if you have kids. The cost may also not be different from other methods which may cost less initially but need repeating (sometimes a lot). And you may save money not having to discard certain items.

There's an entomologist at UofW who may be helpful, mentioned in this post.

Cannot vouch for either that ento or the thermal provider, since I have not had any contact with them, but they may be resources.

If people know of other firms in Wisconsin, and want to review their experiences, we're glad to hear that too.

Thank you! Thermal is what I wanted but I didn't know anyone in WI used it. You made my day!
