Just Found A Bed Bug Help Please
(5 posts)-
I work in a club house type setting. One of our members had beg bugs and brought them in to the center. We had a pro come in and spray the place. Now I'm getting bites at night and just found a dead bed bug under my mattress. I don't have the money to have a pro come take care of my place. I was reading through the forum and found a thread about Hot Shot. Seems like it works pretty well so I'm gonna get some of that. While looking at their site I found Hot Shot Bed Bug & Flea Fogger . I was wondering if anyone tried this and how it worked out for you.
I'm totally freaking out, I hate bugs in general. Plus I don't want them to spread to other or get worse. I would be very thankful for any help.

i have some hot shot foggers on my shelf i have been afraid to set them off because word on the forum is a fogger will just drive them into the cracks where the fog cant get. Make sure you mean it when you say you cant afford a pco. I have been trying to self-treat, i dont have a job and every minute of the last 4 months i been learning about bedbugs and trying to get rid of them. I have tried everything on the market and the problem gets worse every day. Spend some time researching before you do anything its real easy to make things worse.

I've been thinking about using a fogger in my garden shed only AFTER sealing it as tightly as humanly possible. That would be the only place I would now consider (the only reason my stuff is stored in there in the first place is b/c of an untrained PCO and an uninformed "me").
Initially, I thought my vehicles would be candidates but unfortunately if you caulk all of the crevices first, it would take a long time to strip all of that caulking afterward :) Using it in a home/apartment is totally out of the question...as stevebeast has already noted, it can cause them to scatter. You do NOT want that to happen. Wish we had better news for you, but there is hope!

Thanks for all the replies. After looking up pics I'm pretty sure what I have is carpet beetles which are much easier to treat. I really feel for all of you still dealing with bed bugs it's so frightening to feel helpless in your own home!
