Got Bed Bugs? Bedbugger Forums » Detection / Identification of bed bugs

It's probably not completely bed bug related but it has been driving me crazy.

    Hiya,

I have been getting bites every few days since I moved into this new flat 2 months ago. And 1 month into the lease I saw a tiny brown bug on me when reading in bed (was too panic to be observant or capture it and let it flee). Suspecting it was bed bug or flea due to the bite pattern (mostly on my thigh, and stomach) and the regularity, I had 2 pco come over for visual insepction but they found nothing, no signs, no bugs at all, but the bites continued. Put up a flea lamp but caught nothing so thought fleas could be excluded from this case. I've been so stressed out that I wake up constantly at night and, the night before, I found 4 huge welts on my thighs before bed and wouldnt be able to sleep at all. On top of that, my landlord hates me and thinks I'm going crazy for raising this issue to him. I'm getting increasingly paranoid as I live in a huge victorian block with loads of neighbours. I'm scared of asking them just in case my landlord will sue me.

Interestingly I have found a number of these bugs dead on my floor, I googled it but still have no clue what they are - are they something that might have caused the bites? Could any of the entomologists on this site kindly help...sorry the 2nd picture is blurry as this was taken before running to work - can't wait as it's literally driving me insane.

Thanks EffeCi massively for your help. But I believe they don't bite or sting so they're not what causes the bites...?

=( I was wishing that they could've been some other sort of flying blood sucking bugs to prude my bed bug suspicion out...guess not......
