    Hello everyone,

I would like to share my situation and see if anyone can offer some input.

I have been dealing with BBs now for almost 7 months, at least that's when I starting noticing them. I had the 1 2 3 bites, the blood stains, called a K9 and they confirmed, So I called a pco, they sprayed my whole place and came back 15 days later to do it again. The bites and blood stains would no stop so I called them again, they came like 5 times in a period of 4 months, I had all my clothes in bags, been very careful, doing laundry all the time. Finally I got really sick of it and moved after throwing out my bed all my linen, all my upholstered furniture, everything I packed I was SUPER carefull inspecting every book cd ect, vacuuming everything. Well 2 days in my new place and I realized they moved with me, K9 confirmed this again, blood stains, bites etc

So I opted for a very expensive heat treatment at $2200, the next day I got bit, I thought it was a stray one, but no, back to the blood stains, bites, so they came again, one week later, did my entire appartment, it wasnt sucessful. So I called some other heat guys, at $3200 this time and a few days later, you guessed it, bites blood stains. I have just had a chemical treatment just a week ago without success

My bed is isolated, I have climb ups, , I have two sets of encasements one over the other for both my bed and boxspringcarpet tape, and I still get bit. I never have seen the critters save for a few dead ones and some shedded skins. I don;t see them on my matress or anywhere else. But I seem to get bit all over my house. I'm somewhat handicaped so I work at home, I don't go out much so I don't think I'm reinfesting myself, the unit below me is vacant and has been for two years.

I can't figure this out, I'm really going crazy over here

advice? ideas anyone? i'm in Montreal by the way, would love to hear from peeps from around here as well

God bless all of you coping with this nightmare

You mentioned "house," but then you said "unit below me." So, it's a multi-resident complex? Maybe you didn't bring them with you; maybe they were there when you moved in or came from a neighbor.

First and foremost, I think you need to take some clear pictures of the critters and sheddings you're finding (if you can). We want to make sure your reactions are indeed from bedbugs and not something else.

    Thanks.

Did the PCOs ever identify an actual bug sample? Even if they did, getting a positive ID at this stage seems worthwhile as blargg suggests.

hello blarg, it's a triplex that's what we called them here in Montreal, a three floor house with an appartment per floor each with a separate entrance.

Nobugsonme, I forgot to mention this as I re-read my email, but at my other place before I move, towards the end only the PCO found a couple of adult bugs, they were located where the floor meets the wall, he had to remove the piece of wood in order to see them

see visual confirmation was done, here at my new place some fecal spots were seen, and the blood stains, I don't think anything else could be causing this, bites at night, bloodstains and fecal stains in the morning, linear 1 2 3 bites, is there anything else that do that?

I saw your story and feel so much for you because I had a similar story (you can see me previous posts about my experience with heat treatment, moving, vikane gas fumigation, chemical treatments...and still bites). I know it is so frustrating. I have been fighting with BBs for 1 year and 8 months. Though the PCO could not find anything and even dogs could not find anything, we are still bitii And I firmly believe it is still the same bed bug bites which I got a year ago. It seems there are quite a few people experiencing the bites without finding anything here--isn't it time to stop suggesting of other causes to the bites and think about how to get rid of the BED BUGS?!!!

I would be curious if you had the heat treatment done by the same firm as quebug, who'd had several thermal treatments in a row. You might pm quebug about that-- I can see you responded to quebug in another thread.

I'm getting another heat treatment in a week or so, this is from a place that was recommended to me by someone else with the problem

God I hope it works this time

Alright everyone I just thought I would give an update, I just had my FOURTH heat treatment like a week ago, and it didn't work. Put on white sheets got bites and blood stains and fecal stains just 2 days after. Wash the sheets and the next night same deal. I was told by many other PCO's meanwhile that heat can sometimes drive bugs further into the walls especially if it's an old place with cracks, and lots of older wood joints.

The first 2 heat treatment I had I found out was from people that ripped a lot of people off, including some on this forum, the 2 other ones were supposedto be from a more reputable firm. I did ask on the forum who people used (I'm in Montreal).

Meanwhile in between the heat treatment I'm having pesticide treatment, they treat with a residual liquid, that doesn't seem to work either, but they'll be comming back twice. All my stuff is in bags, my bed is isolated, ect.

I will be moving from this place soon, in like 2 monthst 1/2, I want to spend all my time an energy (even if I'm completely spent, ill and destroyed by this 7 months + battle).

I'm thinking of getting a packtite to treat all my books, I can't afford to buy new electronics, I'm not sure which one or any you can put in it, some people seem to put them in no problem.

I will throw out my NEW couch and my NEW bed, and all my furniture, but I just can't part with my electronics, I have a lot of portable hard drives and things like that, laptops, camera stuff

if anyone can offer any advice whatsoever, I would be really greatful

please refrain from suggesting other cause for the bites, they have been K9 confirmed 5 times, and the place I was at before the PCO found live ones

Heat treatment failed on me too--but I live in an apartment which may explain the failure.
In my opinion, moving might be a good option at this stage. But you need to treat everything that you want to bring. Electronics are hard to treat. Maybe fumigation will work better for this case? (? because my fumigation did not work either, but I think it is because of the lousy work done by the fumigation company--they put the gas in and did not even monitor it).
I know how frustrating it is to fight with this invisible enemy! One thing written by someone here inspires me all the time: Live is too good to lose because of these BASTARDS! Cheer up!

thanks for your input bbee1, I'm in an appartment as well, so perhaps that's the cause for the repeated failure of the heat treatment they go hide in the walls or between floors and then they come out again

I would be happy to try fumigation but I don't even think it is available in Montreal, I did some searches could not find anything, perhaps someone on this forum knows? they have it in Toronto, maybe the guys would drive 8 hours to my place to do it, I'm willing to try anything at this point

My situation is especially harsh because I have some health issues and I find myself absolutely isolated in this crisis, no family, "friends" don't return phone calls anymore

    please God make this end
