Since I never treated properly in the first place i knew it would only be a matter of time before the BBs came back. I saw a BB in my bathroom. Lucky i have no new bites that I have noticed yet but the fact that they are still here is frustrating...

Now here is what I need help with,

It has been about 6 or so months ruffly since i have had any BB bites or seen any BBs and now I want to be proactive this time around b/c I have a 1 year old and he sleeps in my room (He was not sleepy in my room during the first infestation).

With my first infestation I used TR Foggers (in the entire apartment not just the affected room). After the foggers I came home, washed anything that could fit in the washer and bagged anything that couldn't.

I covered every visible inch of the floor in my apartment with food grade DE and then swept up as much as I could leaving my floor lightly coated in DE (WARNING: USE OF DE POWDER IN THIS MANOR IS NOT SAFE AND I AM NOT RECOMMENDING IT- I AM JUST REVIEWING WHAT I DID THE LAST TIME).

I then took some gorilla brand double stick tape and made a 3 tiered border around the room.

These measures seemed to have worked at the time. For a short while after the TR foggers I would catch 1 or 2 bedbugs on my sticky tape but after that...nothing.

Now 6 months later i see a BB in my bathroom. the bathroom is also the place I first saw a BB at the time of my first infestation. I live in an apartment building and the slum lor...ehem- I mean "landlord" has made it very clear she has no intentions on resolving the problem.

I know that the way I approached my infestation last time was irraticall, drastic, and potentially harmful so I need advice on how to self manage/treat BBs that will not pose a health risk and may yield more successful long term results.
