Is this fecal-component baiting system anything relevant or effective?

I found this story about some folks using a certain component of bedbug poop to bait them. Does it sound any good, or has this rabbit been chased before?

Hi,
The attractiveness of bedbug poop within harbourages is something that has been discussed before. The key research papers are by Stephen Kells and Richard Naylor who have both used low tech solutions, i.e. is raw poop attractive. The answer is, yes it is.
This in essence is something that the Passive technology relies upon to increase its efficiency the more bedbugs enter and thus defecate.
However the attractant I don't feel is strong enough to override the bedbugs natural caution towards glue based traps. In a recent test with a glue based trapped and no other harbourage we failed to get any capture in 2 months and I know I am not alone in this.
Now for the annoying part, if you can wait another week I will be announcing something new that relies upon this principle without the need to go through expensive synthesis or organic extraction processes. You will of course read about it it here before anywhere else but we have been building up to this for the last year or so.
The hint is Passive+.
Hope that helps.

DC,
While you're at it, I think we should develop a "Scratch N Sniff" confirmation device as well.

I agree, Paul. I think PCOs should have "BB educational programs" with real life examples (fecal, skins, BBs, etc) at a local hotel for consumers. $100 per ticket.
