Is this enough evidence to call a PCO?
(5 posts)-
Hi Everybody,
This is my first time posting something in the forum, but I've been reading through them like mad for the last few days. I feared the worst after I realized the "bruises" on my legs were actually bites, but my husband has no reaction. I immediately stripped my bed apart (it's a platform bed w/ no box spring, but wood slats). Went through the frame with a fine-toothed comb. Placed a box-spring encasement around all the wood slats & a mattress encasement around the mattress. Placed ClimpUp's under bed legs. It's been 3 nights & I haven't caught one yet (I don't think, maybe you can look at photos & help me?). Also, it doesn't seem I've been bit since then. Never found any BB's, exoskeletons, fecal matter or eggs.
Since then, I've found 2 blood spots - don't know if I missed them before or if they are new. There could have still been eggs that hatched in my bed frame I suppose. How much evidence do I need before I call a PCO? I'm afraid if I wait until I find a BB it will be too late. Upon review of my photos can anyone tell me if I'm ready to make the call? Thank you so, so much!

Nothing in the pictures are bed bug related. The "bites" don't even look like any reaction I have seen with my clients, and I have seen thousands.
I wouldn't worry about it. Continue to monitor just as a rule of thumb.

Some of those images look like a small beetle is depicted. Hard to say which species. I could look at the beetle, if you like. PM me. The bruising on legs don't look like any bed bug bites that I've ever seen. Continue monitoring is all the advise I have at this point in time.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to look! It is a bit of a relief to hear your comments about the bruises. I'm still a bit boggled about what they are from - I just couldn't believe how itchy they were! I will continue to monitor and, loubugs, I appreciate your offer to take a look at the bug. I will consider that as I move forward.
Thanks again!

Those "bites" look like bruises to me. The fecal matter looks like dirt.
