Is This A Piece of Its Skin (Pictures Need ID...)?

Found this very weird thing at a very weird place: on the surface of the washing machine where the lid closes. I have not seen it until today. The washing machine is just besides the desk I sit most of the time and the lines on it are so scary...

Wait for word from one of our experts but that doesn't look bedbuggy to me. Too black and the shape doesn't really match well.

Thank you, Spideyjg, it is weird since I did not see a bug but only the piece once I opened the lid. Do they shed their skins off to escape like some of the other insects (probably not but out of curiosity...I do know they fake death since I saw two of them did this some months ago)...?

Sleep good tonight, that's not a bed bug. And if it is it must have died about a hundred years ago. Kinda looks like Hans Solo from Star Wars frozen in carbonite :O

Thank you, Bedbugdude. Yet even if it is dead a hundred years ago, it still means the visible proof that they might have been here...The size is the ball pen head or a grain, and there is nothing underneath...which is why I'm confused...
