A new roommate just moved into my house. I asked about a history of bed bugs and she said no. Of course, you can have them w/out knowing it. I just examined the bottom of a wooden chair that she placed on the terrace and found this dead. Maybe its head fell off? Or maybe it's not a bed bug?

Personally it does not look like a bed bug to me. Its hard to really say without seeing the top of the bug. The good news is that its dead. And I would rather have a dead bed bug then one that was alive!

Looks like a small cock-a-roach, but the top side is really key

To me it looks like a roach, and again you would have to check on some websites to really figure out for yourself if it is a bedbug. it doesnt quit look the part, but you may want to have someone come out to do a free inspection. You may have a roach problem, not a bb one
