Is this a bed bug? Please help!
(8 posts)-
Please help me identify this bug! It was found among a bunch of dead carpet beetles, underneath my kids' bunk bed. The child on the bottom bunk keeps getting bites (after three BB treatments) and we haven't found any hard evidence that we have bbs. Is this a nymph?

In the closer photograph, it looks as if there is a head and a body. However, if you can look closely (not in the photo) you see it is one body part w/o head.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like a type of carpet beetle to me (see the far right example here: http://www.bugclinic.com/carpet_beetle.htm)

Stick the lens right against the magnifier.
Pic is inconclusive but doubtful.

Thanks for your replies. Uploaded four more pics with Jim's advice. I think the images are a bit more clear now, and you can see that this is only a part of an insect.

Is there someone who can look at the more recent photographs to tell me it it is a bed bug instar?
-
Not sure what that is.
