Image 3Help! I'm not sure what this is from and I'd really like to know if it is bed bug related.

Please let me know. I scanned the image in. For size, it is just over 2 mm in length. It broke apart a bit as I was fussing with it.

No, in my opinion it isn't. Looks more like a old broken chrysalis (beetle or moth)

Thank you. I know the Flickr photos are not great--I would be delighted to email one of our experts my high resolution file(s) as you can see the horizontal stripes better (which are what make me nervous).

Thanks again--I'm pretty stressed out about these lil' monsters and appreciate all of your help.

    Hi Laura
I've seen the hi-res pic you sent me.
    It's not a chrysalis.
It's a crushed piece of an insect's abdomen, but it looks really dried and old.
Can't say for sure if it was a BB when alive or not.
I suppose it wasn't, but I'm really curious to hear other opinions...
Here's a cropped version of your pic:

    Hi EffeCi,

I don't think it's BB either, it's too transparent compared to the numerous dead samples I have around the office. I would also expect to see some hairs at that resolution which appear to be abscent. I also find that the longer dead they are bedbugs become more matt in texture.

I will try and collect a range of examples during the week and post a PDF.
