My question in the subject line is basically it... Just wondering if anyone knows whether the heat range of a packtite (mine seems to get up to 140 degrees when it's books and not clothes) will damage music cds or video dvds.

I've been posting on-and-off here for a few months now. Here's my update. I had three more sprayings from my landlord's PCO in March, after a K9 alerted to several spots in the apartment. The PCO finally agreed to put some sort of dust in the walls, though now I don't recall what he used. :o( Everything seemed to be going ok for a month -- no bites. But in May I headed to the west coast, where my partner lives. I staid there until July 1st. The morning after I returned, I developed a serious rash on my left arm -- it started around my wrist and then "climbed" halfway up my arm. It didn't itch, but the spots were red, many of them in the breakfast-lunch-dinner line, other areas just a mass of red spots. Not welts, because they weren't really raised by much. No dermatologist in my town is taking new patients, and the first appointment I could get with my regular doctor was today, 6 days later. All he could say is that I had some sort of systemic allergic response.

A week later, the spots are now brown, and not raised at all, so he said that I'm in the "healing" stage of an immune system response. What triggered the rash or the bumps or whatever, the doctor can't tell for certain. I'm fairly certain I know -- hungry after 6 weeks of my absence, whatever bedbugs still live in my bedroom came out to fee that night!!! I've never had such a severe set of reactions to bedbug bites ever. The doctor isn't sure whether the brown spots will ever fully fade. They may leave permanent scars. My landlord is unresponsive, and I was not able to reach the PCO directly as of yet.
