Hi everyone. I have a question for you. My mother has been temporarily staying with me for the last 3 months due to a bedbug infestation at her place. My two year old grandson sometimes stays with me every other weekend. Recently he has been waking up with bites on his face, arms and wrists which become red, inflamed, itchy and look like he has hives throughout the day. I have searched everywhere with no bug sightings anywhere. I have tried everything to prevent him from waking up with these marks on his skin to no avail. If they are bedbugs, is it possible that they only bite him and ignore everyone else in my household, including me? He actually sleeps on my bed. I am stumped.

It is more likely -- IF they are bed bugs -- that you are also being bitten and do not react to bed bug bites.

Thanks for your answers. Last night I took the bed apart and "lo and behold," found what looks like eggs. Great, now I have two apartments to worry about!
