It has been two days since my move yet I still felt itchy and something over me. I've also had a line of three red bite like dots on the back and several small pimple and one bite on the face. Even though I have bought an anywhere bed, put passive monitors under it, double sided tapes atop, pest sticky under my chair, I still feel unsafe because of all of this.

I'm taking four showers a day, mostly, one after I got up, one before I went out, one after I came back and one before I go to bed. I also became naked once inside the unit, hoping this would reduce the risk. I even poured boiling water on my clog which I changed into when I left the former building, with bags tied on each leg, and literally boiled my belt which I wore on the day of move because the people picked me up got impatient and put some of the bags directly on her car without disposal of the first layer of the bag...

I've been sleeping in bath tub for two days and yesterday I tried the bed for the first time, and due to lack of experience I did not close the other tube and when I sit upon it the bed immediately sucked into the frame and my newly bought, washed and three hours dried pillow and case fall to the carpet ground. I panicked and tossed them out today. Earlier when my hand brushed against an itchy place I feel sticky on my finger and saw it was cover with blood. Now I'm still wondering if I accidentally smashed one. How does that feel, anyone could tell?

I have not seen one single bug yet, but these small things are draining. I've seen small nymph like bugs crawl on my hand in the day time and a red itchy pimple beneath it. I'm just wondering, is it enough, especially for the showering thing?

As I am typing, I am feeling itchy on my back again, naked...

Just checked, the bites on my face are two small bites in a row... I think I might need some sleep...

you moved to a new place that does *not* have bugs, if i am understanding correctly?

sometimes bites can show up several days after you have acquired them, so it is possible that you were bit before you left the old place and they are only showing up now. just something to keep in mind, if you don't find any evidence of bugs in your new place.

when i moved away from my infested apartment it took me a few months to feel comfortable in my new (bug free) home. i took a lot of precautions in moving and didn't take the bugs with me, so it is possible to do (from the sounds of it you took many precautions as well). i was afraid, and itchy, for a long time, but eventually the feeling went away. keep an eye out for evidence for the next little while of course, but remember that not every itchy spot means that you have been bit. if you are showering several times a day in fairly hot water, chances are you are drying out your skin much more than it is used to, and some of the itching and irritation may be from that.

did you say that you saw small nymph-like bugs during the daytime in your NEW place? perhaps try to capture some and get some photos to post on the forums here for comment. if you are seeing them in the daytime, it is of course always *possible* that they are bbs, but it's also very likely that they are fleas or something to that effect (especially if the previous tenant had a pet). you may want to get a plug-in flea trap to rule that out. if you catch some and have a pco or entymologist look at them, that would let you know what you're dealing with.

    good luck!

Thanks, lil_bit_obsessed. Actually I am seeing them during the night and they are sort of inactive during the day time. I caught some and sent them to the entomologist but he told me it was book lice and did not bite. I'm fully aware of the time gap between being bitten and the symptoms showing up but this time the gap is almost the same like my last time experience, about one week ( I moved in on last Tuesday and found the itchy spots one Saturday).

I do believe I found no evidence when I first inspect the house. But being a non-professional and only having one experience makes it hard for me to believe anything.

I have sent some samples to the landlord, too, and they told me they would identify that tomorrow with a contracted pco (never heard of them, though, and doubtful of if they could do anything to it).

I actually have some photos but my camera is not good ($100) and the image is fuzzy...like this one:

and even though I usually felt something crawling on me, I found it hard to find. Just now I poured steaming water onto my chair on which I spent as much as sleeping and for a while there was no such feeling but an hour or later it came back again, just the same.

Anyhow, I think I should better wait and see what the pco says tomorrow and maybe contact him to my place to show him my bites...
