I had bed bugs about a year ago and have been bed bug free since December , but in the past month i have kill three bugs on my bed. i am hopeful though that maybe they are just bugs getting in our house due the extreme drought that we are experiencing here. to me the bugs i have killed don't look like bed bugs the bug i killed is a little smaller then a mature bed bug has a longer body it is black but when i hold it in good lighting i can see some light brown spots , it almost looks like it has a shell like a beetle but it was very easy to kill also the head on it is more like ball shaped . i have bed bug traps that you put under your the corner of your mattress and it caught one of these bugs but i know that doesn't mean it is a bed bug. i dont see any other signs either no bites , no stains, no casting... i am freaking out though i really dont wanna go through this again.

Post a photo if you can. Best way for anyone to tell what bug you're dealing with.

    Hi,

Neither of them are bedbugs, they are types of beetles but the images are too low a resolution for a species specific ID.

With regards the glue based trap used I once tested those and failed to catch a single bedbug despite that there were over 50 of them in the box and they had nowhere else to try and hide. Nice to see that they actually work on some beetles though.
