Okay, so is there such a thing as having 'some' bedbugs? or is this something that can be lived with
like we live with other bugs, or is it truly a horror story that gets progressively worse everywhere they are?i read this one story about a poor guy in vancouver who was so allergic, wound up homeless, they had spread through all the place. he was absolutely terrorized and the bugs were relentless.
but as of now anyway, i can actually have no trouble sleeping so far.
his roommate however, reported no or little bites.. maybe they bit him but he was not psychologically predisposed to being so severely affected, and obviously wasn't as affected by it.plus now that i have these bugs, i guess i am spreading them everywhere i go, right?
just like hundreds of people in toronto who live in bedbugs places march through your favorite coffee shop doors EVERYDAY... makes those plush chairs seem less cozy.
and thats just one example.
i guess this is why every year calls for BBS are increasing by ten times. imagine where we will be in just two years!! -
I was at a concert last night, and found out the young man who started the whole "chain" of infestation on our end was there. As I looked towards the stage from my far-back seat, I wondered how many people were there with bed bugs, and how easily someone could be transferring them and not even know.
And then I realized that I'd been going to these things for years and wound up with a hangover at worst from bad beer. While I can see maybe not using cushy seats in the future (or taking a certain bus to my small town as said young man does), until bed bugs become truly endemic, I refuse to stop going to concerts, to get coffee, to pilates class, etc. etc. These little terrorists win when we become too nervous to live our lives as fully as we can.
And who knows? As more and more strides are made in general education and eradicating these beasts-- and from some old-bites on here, it sounds like there have been-- maybe they won't be as transferrable and hard to kick.
