    Hey everyone,
I am sick to my stomach right now. I am in the process of moving to my sister's house and just found out that my neighbor has bed bugs. A bed bug inspector from Lloyd's Pest Control came into my unit and did a pretty thorough inspection. I was so afraid of my things being contaminated that I immediately put a bunch of of my stuff up on my dining table and smeared vaseline around the legs.
    :-/
The PCO told me that I did not have bed bugs, and did not need to worry as long as my neighbors did not let off a fogger or use any self-treatments. Lloyd's will begin a 45-day treatment on Thursday, and my neighbors have been given strict instructions on how to proceed. My neighbors are very upset and I feel terrible for them because they are having financial difficulty and bought a used mattress approx. 4 months ago, which is where the PCO thinks the problem arose. So far, I have removed about half of my belongings from my apartment, including books, office supplies, etc. Fortunately, I rented a storage unit so my stuff is residing there in plastic bins. I have not taken anything to my sister's house yet.
Based on this information, what can I do to prevent bringing these pests to my sister's home? Also, what is the likelihood that I will get them? My lease ends in mid-October but I will be out before then. I really don't want my furniture anymore for fear that there might be bb's in there. :-(
Any advice would be greately appreciated.

    If, if, if.
Hope they behave, protect yourself in case they don't. These have already demonstrated themselves to be clueless in the age of BB, who's to say buying a used mattress is all they've done?
    :(

Ugh, I'm doing as much as I can...I feel really bad for the neighbors below them. We have old radiators in our building and share the pipes with our neighbors above and below us. I'm unsure whether or not they have been alerted as well. For now, I am only using my essentials, which are all in my closet in plastic bags (as far from my neighbor's shared wall as possible). I feel like something is crawling on me all the time now! :-(
