identification of bedbugs / need an ontomologist oppinnion or bug expert
(7 posts)-
I alreday had my apt treated 3 times in 3 weeks,,,did some treatment myself 1 month before with DE and Eaton spray...Despite all efforts plus caulking, vacumming, sealing, etc I still run into a few often in bathroom and ocassionaly in L.R. and B.R(one a day or so) they're usually very little and very hard to identify. I need the oppinion of an entomologist or Bug expert to confirm
I am in Inwood , upper Manhattan, New York City!

Can you take a good picture of it? Or would you like to send it to me? Did you look into spider beetles or even book lice? Try a Google search on the photo like and see if you can match it with those 2.

No, I can't take a puc right now because I packed/bagged everything pretty much
Also, the samples are so small that I would need probably special equipment...I gooled pics for both spider beetle and book lice...the beetle seems to have ;longer legs, correct? the book lice seems to have a more elongated body. I have caught a few dead ones alreday a while ago and look more like bedbugs to me...
Do spider beetles and book lice also bite, suck blood?
I seem to have them under control in my bedroom now but i have seen a few in my L.R and bathroom

Good news on this picture. I am sure 100% it's not a bed bug. I am not an expert, but I think it may be a cigarette beetle or something close to it. But it's not a bed bug for sure.
